Why Cobalt???

Cobalt plates over a nickel substrate base.

It is as corrosion resistant as Nickel and gives a Chrome like durability without the draw backs of possible hydrogen embrittlement and buildup on edges that can affect functioning.

It plates slowly and evenly with very low current and is resistant to all commonly used cleaning solvents. It's also self lubricating to some degee.

Simply treat it as you would any fine firearm with decent cleaning and wipedowns and it'll stay looking good!
